Definition Of Particleboard

1. Basic definition
Particleboard (English name Particle Board or Flakeboard), also known as particle board or particle board, is a kind of artificial board made of wood chips (twigs, small-diameter wood, sawdust, etc.) as the main raw material, through drying, gluing (adding adhesives, hardeners, etc.), and then high-temperature and high-pressure pressing. The internal particles are unevenly arranged, the surface is flat, and it has good mechanical processing performance.

2. Difference from solid wood particle board
Note: particleboard and solid wood particle board are not the same product. Although the processing technology is similar, solid wood particle board usually uses better raw materials (such as single tree species) and environmentally friendly adhesives, and has higher quality.

3. Main application areas
It is mainly used in furniture manufacturing (such as cabinets, wardrobes), construction industry (wall, ceiling decoration) and packaging materials. Because of its low cost and large-scale processing, it is suitable for economical decoration needs.

4. ‌Key production processes‌
‌Raw material processing‌: cutting wood chips into standard pieces; ‌Dry gluing‌: reducing moisture content and mixing with adhesive; ‌Hot pressing‌: curing adhesive under high temperature and high pressure to form a board structure.
5. ‌Common aliases and labels‌
Chinese aliases include particle board and particle board, and the foreign name is particle board; in the field of science and engineering technology, it is often classified as "wood board products".
